Gurdwara Sahib, Petaling Jaya (Part 1)

Hello again!

So we went to the punjabi temple in PJ as Raveena had suggested and we had a blast! In just one night we learned alot! we took TONS of pictures and videos, but unfortunately the videos are ALL corrupted. We tried extracting it from the camera but failed. We cant play the video, although that part of technical difficulty we cannot avoid, we had fun nonetheless..

The Temple

When we entered the premises, honestly speaking we were a little hesitant and really nervous. Surprisingly, they are VERY friendly people. We met with one man who goes by the name "Rafi". He told us his real name is Gundap (Is that how you spell it?) Singh but nobody knows him by that name except his parents, he famously go by the name Rafi. He insist on speaking in malay with us. This is Rafi:

When we came in they were still having their prayers, even if the prayers were going on, we saw some are in the cafeteria eating and having drinks. Rafi told us, it was fine to come out and have food if you have done your prayers on your own. He also said that for men, it is frowned upon if they entered the temple wearing a hat or a baseball cap, they have to cover their heads at least with a bandana, for us muslims who entered the temple, wearing the songkok or kopiah are welcomed. So bear in mind if you're a male muslim, wear the songkok when entering a temple!

The Guru
We cant really do anything about the video so we extract a video from youtube that is similar to the procession of the temple we witnessed. Enjoy:

We will have more pictures and more details on this temple in another post! Stay tuned!
